Yeah, but I don't like to have to pay $50.00 to have to think for myself. And what you're saying, have you ever heard of the social psychological principle of cognitive dissonance?  It basically says that if you are compelled to do something, then you will say that you really enjoy it more because you want to have a justification for why you enjoy something other than admit the truth about it.

I see your psychobabble and return fire with my own!

Have you ever heard the term "confirmation bias"? It means you desperately seek out information that confirms what you want to believe, and ignore data that contradicts that viewpoint. See: ignoring positive reviews and praising negative reviews of a game you've never played, but really don't want to like. See also: WMDs in Iraq.

Also, you don't have to pay $50 to play. I assume you have friends and relatives, or at least a nearby Blockbusters...

I don't know how much desperate searching out I had to do to find information that Wii Music is reviewed poorly.  I mean IGN is supposed to be the most popular game site on the internet, and they say it is a bad game.  However, since they are the most popular site on the net for games, then I probably didn't have to do much desperate searching to find that information.  The same with magazines like Game Informer which I can find at Wal~Mart and Eurogamer (isn't it supposed to be the most popular gaming site in Europe.)

And this discussion just completely ignores the fact that going by my own judgement I totally disliked Wii Music when I saw its presentation at E3 when I was expecting other types of games.

Friends, somewhere up North, but most of them aren't into games, they are artists, musicians, and writers that still want to live like this is the Beat era, and the nearest Blockbuster is 90 miles round trip from where I live.
