Why not accept and Welcome casual and Nongamers? Why not offer them a channel on IGN where they can visit and discuss the games they like to play. IGN could also suggest some core games similar to the ones that they enjoy playing. This would be a better service than to spend time trying to make Wii music flop and would help some casuals become core gamers faster. |
It's because Wii Music was sort of a "big name" game...for the holidays. It turned out to be somewhere between mediocre and bad, and yet it still selled well. I don't think there are any replacements for Wii Music though... like Rockband/Guitar Hero... so there's no good game of the same type to buy instead. That softens the blow.
