Angry at Nintendo for letting such a group of talent leave who has created a whole bunch of wonderful titles for Nintendo. Angry at Microsoft for waving around with a bag full of cash, and angry at Rare considering the fact that they probably thought money was more important. |
Im not angry at Nintendo. In my mind it wasnt a bad move on their half. Yes, i do love rare, and some of my favourite games of all time were made by them, but lets look at it like this:
1. Rare were taking ages to make games for Nintendo consoles. They starting taking years to release games, and they never released a game on the GC.
2. During the 2002 fiscal year, Rare accounted for 1.5% of Nintendos sales, which is barely anything.
3. They were sold for a couple hundred million dollars, much more than they have made for Microsoft since they were sold.
4. Since they were sold they have had very very few successful games. This is mainly down to the fact that they are nearly all on the 360 though, but newer Rare games arent nearly s good as the old ones.
