| Dolla Dolla said: ... nvm, ssj12. Let me just say, Killzone 2 is supposed to be a BIG draw for Sony, yes? So, they want as much attention as possible, yes? It's not about pleasing current players, it's about attracting those on the fence, it's about having the media drool over your potentially good game, it's about having the spotlight. It won't have that on Halo 3's release week, no matter how much better it looks. |
But it will while hype dies.
Quick Chart:
Halo 3 released Killzone 2 Demo released
Week 1) Hype from 360 fans Eyes on Halo 3 launch, slight notice
Week 2) Hype continues Sony fans start realizing demo exists
Week 3) Halo 3 sold out? Everyone else realizes Killzone 2 demo exists
Week 4) Hype lessens a bit Killzone 2 is compared with Halo 3
Week 5) Still selliing well Hype grows farther
As long as the demo exists hype for the game will grow, its just like Folklore, Folklore has 0 hype in America, demo released, hype has grown greatly. Releasing a demo of Killzone 2 might actually combat Halo 3 a bit and shake up it's launch. Which Killzone 2 might be able to just like a MGS4 demo would.
