Ok, believe it or not, there are tons of people with this issue. I googled it and there seems to be an issue with the paper sleeve leaving a residue. Way to go Microsoft...
The solution is even more ridiculous: put the disc into boiling water! And the funny part: it works. It's installing onto the HDD now, lol.
Anyway Montana: I'm afraid I'll ignore your tip, but I'll let you know if you are right.
