Well you have to factor in that this game is the sequel to ToS which sold well in the states, whereas ToV is something new released on losing console.

 

You make this sound like it means auto sales. It does not. This is a low budget spinoff, while vesperia had a significantly better budget. Symphonia sold well, but not well enough that its name sells itself. Tales games are not huge in the states (guess europe as well), hopefully this will change.
