The german chart-tracking service media control announced today that 48.000 PS3 games have been sold in the first week. On the one hand it's more than Wii (42.000) or Xbox 360 (33.000) could sell in their first week but on the other hand it also shows a game to console tie rate lower than 1:1 which is even lower then the tie rate of the Wii (which is lower than 1 because it inludes Wii Sports which isn't counted as sold games by media control). I guess up to a quarter of the PS3 customers bought it just for blu ray play-back (or they didn't have any money left for games ).
