See I don't mind people being patriotic, that is they identify as what they are and support decisions that will drive that nation to better times. Sometimes that includes going against what the government is doing.
Nationalism is when they are proud, blind, and will think that the government is infallible no matter what they do.
The problem with the US is that many of the 1st are also the 2nd types of people.
