Right now, Halo3 is at 9 million. With the release of ODST and a possible Halo3 + ODST bundle, sales will reach 11 million quite easily. ODST might move more Halo3 units.
The toughest competition will be GT5. The best selling game of the series sold almost 15 million units. That is a lot. But the install base for the PS3 is much smaller than it was back in the days for the PS2.
Final Fantasy XIII will have great software sales, but because of the fact that the game will be on the Xbox360, the sales will split. Furhermore, the best selling FF game sold almost 10 million.
I can't think of another game to come close to 11 million. Is there a great franchise I don't remember right now?

WRONG: The Sims 2 has already sold like 15 millions, and Halo 3 will never reach that. Then there is Starcraft 2, Diablo 3, Call of Duty 4 PC, The Sims 3, The Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, SPORE, etc... Seriously, am I missing something? There's so many HD PC games that sold/will sell more than Halo 3 that it's not even funny.

afaik CoD4 on PC is way below PS3 numbers. Spore was not that great either. So you basically have Blizzard + Sims. But of course, nobody talked about PC here. But you knew it anyway, right? Do you feel better now?

I have always said in the last fwe months that COD 4 sold/will sell 10 millions on PC alone. The game STILL sells good, and has probably been always in the top5 best selling PC games every month until november. It is also the second most played PC game today, only behind World of Warcraft.
Spore did better than The Sims 2 did when it launched, and has the extra of being sold in digital stores like Steam.
