No dude, it makes sense. When they were number 1 Rare made great games. At number 2 spot the quality decreased. When Nintendo got the 3rd place, Rare just said:
"Sorry It is not you, it is me. I am leaving for Mom`s house and I am taking the kids with me (PD, Banjo, Conker)".
Now Nintendo is number 1 again and Rare starts flirting with it. Nintendo should just say:
"No, with my influence I can get a hotter girl (2nd party based around graphics) or find someone that truly understand my feelings (2nd party that values gameplay)".
I am not angry with the lacking games of N64 and GC eras, the problem was Rare leaving at the hardest time and failing at making a good game.
I also used a lot of mexican soap opera to write the dialogues.
