How did I know that if a black character is announced people would hate on him and SE. Idiots.

It is great that they have put a character like this in the game. And he looks very interesting.

Is it so wrong to hate Nomura's designs, regardless of race, gender, or creed?

People are constantly hating on Nomura's designs. Popular things tend to be hated a lot. And it's okay when people are hating on Nomura for using so many belts and zippers, for his style. I like Nomura's style but I can see how other people can not.

However this character is absolutely different for Nomura, and probably for the whole jRPG genre. He is clearly a guy (you cant mistake him with a female no matter how hard you try), he lacks zippers and only has a few belts. He is an adult, not a 16 year-old pretty boy. And he is black, dammit! A normal looking black dude, in a japanese RPG game! And he looks absolutely nothing like Balthier, Irvine or Barret.

That's what is so cool about him. He looks so different from everything else Nomura and other jRPGs have produced recently. And that's why he is destined to be hated by many. That's a shame really.

O rly?

Look at Irvine again and you'll notice he's an Irvine of lower quality.

Actually, I thought Snow looked more like Irvine...

Both do...

Then you have different eyes from all the rest.

SE listened for once to gamers and brought back a black guy. Many people loved Barret and although he was stereotypical and  a Mr. T clone (I didn´t mind it because I like Mr. T, Chef and generally the 90´s stereoptypical black people) people missed characters like that and got fed up with the androgynous males, borderline emo.

He's comic relief, he's not the protagonist. And thank god he isn't.

As for "different eyes", go take a look yourself.
