While i know most Amercian citizens are proud to be Americans not a lot of citizens seem to be very vocal about it.
The other day when I just got on register at Walmart I was checking some guy out and his kid ask "whose that?" pointing to a picture of Uncle Sam next to our wall of honor memorializing both our local serving and fallen soldiers.
What shocked me was that the guy said, "he is your uncle," but the kid said no he isnt. He than said He is and "he is mine too."
I said he is my uncle too since I do love the US and the freedoms it stands for but what shocked me farther was my line was building up as this was happening. After I said Uncle Sam is my uncle the guy behind the guy I was checking out said he is his too and it just continued down my line.
I was shocked, happy, and proud to see that much open patriotism.
Well figured I'd share this with you guys. Its was just one of those moments.
