What is the point of replacing 60gb with 80gb?

basically you'll see a whole lot of small upgrades like this. The main reason is Hard Drives generally don't get cheaper, and small hard drives become more expensive to manufacture when they're no longer wanted. An 80GB HDD probably costs Sony about 50c more than a 60GB HDD at this point, so it makes sense to use an increased size HDD
