@ Outcast - BringBackChrono just said it for me. Girls may like to play with horses but My Horse and Me by Atari is superior to Ubisofts offering. Their games for girls are usually cheaply made affairs and girls deserve better.

Ubisoft also has nothing for all those women who own Wiis. So I don't think they're in a position to brag (although their still further ahead than 95% of the industry when it come to female oriented games).

No, you are completely wrong. You have never played any of the games you're talking about and I doubt you've ever even seen them. Girls and younger children have no expectations about quality or game play. They want to play a game about horses even if you or the enthusiast press hardcore games reviewers don't.

My cousin (a few months older than me so not exactly a girl) bought a DS, she bought Nintendogs and loves it (and Mario Kart and a couple of other decent [to us gamers] games).

She also bought Catz, and some game about fashion... and hated them.

Quality speas for itself... a game can still be a great game even if it is about fashion design, but Ubisoft don't put the effort in, limited options and poor menus are as equally noticable by new gamers as old.
