Online co-op to be patched into Killzone 2?

Because it is not part of the initial release.  When you purchase the disc you get multiplayer and a single player campaign.  I don't think this thread should be viewed as anything more than a rumor.  You should make your purchase decision on what has been announced by Sony, not what you are hearing in forums.

The split screen coop implementations have been lacking recently.  COD5 split screeen is unusable, and R2 forces you to a 4:3 aspect ratio.  I heard L4D uses a scheme similar to COD5, but I can't confirm.  I hope they release online coop as a free patch, but I'm not holding my breath for it.
