This doesn't shock me at all. Europe is seen as a backwater market for the console games publishers. Even though it's the fastest expanding market for the past few years, the added costs of the european taxes, PAL convertion, and having each different country in the EU making it's own laws about electronic hardware and software, makes it a bit of a turn down for most publishers, and even those who release their games around here, it's almost always a few months after their japanese and U.S release.

Has been since the NES days, and it's going to be for a long, long time
