@Taxman: Sony has BD, which should be making profit for Sony, Cell is planned to be used in other applications than just PS3. And the size of that investment is just growing. And, if Sony would discontinue PS3, SCE would be posting profit the next quarter the production would end.

@Imperial: It's really interesting to see what Sony will do, since they are expected to post very heavy losses for the whole company (estimates range between 100 billion and 200 billion Yen). Sony has been in a pretty bad financial situation for years now, which means that Sony doesn't have much room to play with.
