Nikkei: Sony expected to post $1.12 billion loss

In other words, pretty much what some of us have been expecting and warning about for quite a while.

 

 

These two bad quarters are not going to be alone. They are talking here about "operational losses". This means that the core business is sick. This is not just a financial manipulation (i.e. writeoffs). Operational losses means that Sony is spending more money making, shipping and supporting the products then they are getting paid from consumers.

Since the core business is unhealthy then this is not something that is just going to stop at the end of the fiscal year but will take some time or some severe changes to turn around back to profitablity.
