Variety in games is key to expanding their demographic, but I completely understand the focus on a strong foundation. This is something they will need to address in the next iteration of their illustrious console. The size of the gaming library and the quality therein are the best of any console to date. There is no contest in this category.

 

First off nice thread a decent change from the junk thats usually posted here.

 

Next before we get a hundred more replys of ""Wait for price drop"" or ""Wait for Killzone 2""" or this thread becomes about Killzone 2.  Take a good hard look at the bolded part I quoted.

 

Microsoft and Sony are simply not catering towards the rest of the videogame market like Nintendo.  You can have the most appealing games towards a male demographic of 18 to 30 year olds but ignoring the rest of the market of women, children and older adults is simply going to leave you a in niche and less profitiable part of the market.
