I've seen a Wii at retail twice(not counting when I bought it at lunch).
First time was on July 20th, I arrived at a GameStop that recently received a shipment. They sold out before I left and where getting calls about the shipment, saying they where getting some more tomorrow.
I saw them in mid August at a Wal-Mart.
