The style isn't very engaging but it is very fitting. Besides, using GeoW2 and R2 as examples of better artistic style isn't exactly a good idea as GeoW2 is pretty grey, too, and R2 looks a bit generic. Uncharted on the other hand is an excellent examply - definitely one of the best-looking games this gen both technically and artistically. Anyway, the game is beautiful despite its environment and even its boring environment is very fitting. Besides, war isn't beatiful and so isn't pollution (if that is it).
