I'm just going to repeat this for emphasis. Let's go through your thought process:

1) Exclusive Game [X], Game [Y] and Game [Z] were not system sellers.
2) Therefore, no game is a system seller.

I would recommend that your sample size is too small and, much more damning to your hypothesis, we actually have recent, very conclusive examples of exclusive games selling systems. This proves that exclusive games can sell systems: it's just that Game [X], Game [Y], and Game [Z] are not among them.

Yes games can be system sellers, but there's only so many that can be in the same genre.   I don't see Killzone 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, or other big hyped shooters are gonna be system sellers at all.

The reason is not becuase they are not great games but because we have had a ton of FPS games that have been out already to draw those people to the system already.  The system sellers will be the new games to the system like when Final Fantasy comes out, or other games that are big name games in a GENRE that isn't already FLOODED on the system.

My point basically meaning:  You can only have so many system sellers in ONE GENRE.
