Regardless of how you or any other folks feel about Sony, dominating is clearly something Sony will not do during 2009, even if it narrows the 360 lead. Outselling the 360 by 8M consoles this year? Basically, the PS3 would have to come out with Wii-like numbers and there's nothing - NOTHING - to motivate folks to buy one that badly. Seriously, the sour global economy, the slower-than-expected adoption of Blu Ray, the lack of exclusives, plus the FACT that Sony's in dire straits financially is producing a perfect storm aimed at the PS3. Could improve, but only if the Wii or the 360 are yanked off the market. A price cut will only do so much for the PS3. MS has the advantage on HD consoles - and it's literally going to take an act of God along the lines of Egyptian plagues, the Angel of Death killing firstborns, or parting the Red Sea for Sony to come back and even get into 2nd place this year.

Where did I say or even imply that Sony would dominate anything ever. Never in my posting history have ever thought of something that stupid.
Do I think Sony can dominate quality wise? Of course they can. Sales wise? No.
