Well I think it's a load of... er... something nice that's appropriate to say on the forums. FFXII had nothing to get! That was its problem. It was extremely simple. It had no plot, no character development, and a combat system that could be mastered by a toddler with severe brain damage. Not only that, but you didn't have to use the combat system. If you have a quarter of a brain you can set up gambits well enough to play the game without even picking up the controller in combat. Maybe a couple times on boss fights. |
Wait, wasn't that part of the fun? Finding that special Gambit combination that would make your guys invincible? I know it took around 40 hours or more to get all the magics I needed to never touch the controller again (revive, hastega, barrier, etc.) and even go against hunts (those missions with monsters you have to kill, some of them were damn hard!) that would be impossible at very low levels? So the game was still a game before those 40 hours.
I have to admit that I was expecting a better ending though... I mean, after playing the game for a full week (I wasn't even done 60% of it too), you had to expect something better!
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...
