I think you mean 5 instead of 4, to get the same man hours...

In general, you loose efficiency working on a team.  So I would say it would take closer to two years with 5 people working on it compared to 1 person doing it in 5.

 

You would lose efficiency also because they wouldn't all be Bob and have the same enthusiam for working on Bob's game as Bob did...or be willing to lock themselves in a room for 30 days working on it (especially not with Bob) =P

 

I've heard another story about someone spending 30 days in a room with a webcam to make sure they were really in there...the difference?  They got $70k for doing it, and knew up front that they would get it if they stayed in for 30 days.
