You know that japanese kids can bring a video game system to school? (this came from gameinformer) the one that they can bring is the ds. Thats why its selling outrageously like an ipod.
I thought it's selling so well because of its games...

Your crystal ball must be broken. They have a 2 for 1 sale at Spencer's.

Haha awesome post Dolla!

Seriously though I rarely use my PSP for actual purchased games. I have bought 5 games in almost 2 years of owning the system, and one of them I just bought a couple days ago (Jeanne D'Arc, which is awesome). It's not that it goes unused. I play old roms on it a lot, but on my DS I have bought almost 30 games (most recently Rune Factory and Heroes of Mana).

darconi, don't count on a price cut anytime before 2008.

Anyway, yeah I think the problem is that the PSP has very little remaining 3rd party support, and Sony's 1st party isn't good enough to push the platform alone. Take SE for example: They have 8 PSP games made/in production, but 6 of them are remakes of old games. They have 17 DS games made/in production, including the main game in their second largest franchise, and only 5 of those are remakes. It's pretty much the same accross all 3rd parties.

There is the occaissional PSP game, but owning a PSP is like owning a Gamecube that plays old roms but doesn't have Nintendo games. You get the occaissional 3rd party gem, but overall support is very weak.

Naz, what do you think of Rune Factory? Its on my list of highly want games and its tempting me to get the DS.  How is the monster fighting portion integrated with the farming?
