From that video, it sounds more like it's an adventure game with the standard "overhead/side" view that 2D RPGs have used since forever. And from the various pop-ups in that video, it also sounds like the game is too insanely complicated for anybody to want to play. There's no clear objectives from what the annotations gave away, just a bunch of random stuff about features that most game developers wouldn't bother adding on the back of the case as a selling point.

Not really sure what to say... He obviously put a lot of work into it, and yet...
