Yes, I believe so. Unless by "true", you mean something else. Keep in mind, I don't understand everything about Blu-Ray and HD for that matter. I think that's one of the problems with this new technology. Many people don't keep up with this and will buy one of the cheaper players not knowing the lack of features and will be disappointed. Anyhow, going back to my receiver, it says "DTS" on it and plays DVD's with DTS on it and can play the sound with DTS selected from the menu.
I'll come up with something better eventually...
