I'm really curious to see how addictive this must be then, since I love R2's co-op and that game hasn't even hit AAA status (nor will it).

AAA doesn't really make a difference .. I just said that because I'm glad the game now has that status.

I'm sure R2 online can but just as addictive as Halo and Gears ... but L4D is different ... thats how I feel anyway. Playing as the infected = big thrills!

How is it different? I have played both R2 coop and L4D coop extensively, and I am surprised at how similar they really are. Both games should be referenced as great examples of how to implement cooperative play.

@stubbs - L4D is a lot of fun but you can complete the game in about 4 hours and there is no true single player. The coop gives you 4 movies (about an hour each), and currently the versus mode only offers 2 maps/movies. Hopefully Valve will provide extensive support for the game. On the 360 it will mean paid DLC, and on the pc it will probably be free. Plus the pc will probably see extensive mods. As it stands now, you need to pay full price for 4 hour coop and a 2 map multiplayer.

Stop making R2 sound better,4 hours on easy, which is no fun,Normal is 6 and Advanced is 8 to 10 and expert is like 12 hours, and every time you replay the level it changes, thats 4x,so 48 FULL hours of gameplay, whlie R2 is fun it just cant be matched, and versus mode adds even MORE time to the awesomeness.

and its 10 multiplayer maps,2 campages, while the hole game has 20 levels (5 in each campage).
