I think it's very unlikely that in 3 or 4 years the Wii's will just start to break. Nintendo has a history of making some of the most reliable hardware known, or else my Urgameboy wouldn't be working anymore, i forgot it one time out in the rain for like 4 hours 
Or my snes is also still working and the list goes on.
