I fail to see the logic in putting the periods in a random order. After all, a year is the longest time and a day is the shortest. Then why do the Americans use a format like MM-DD-YYYY (that's how it often is, isn't it?) while more logical ones would be YYYY-MM-DD (the best one) and DD-MM-YYYY (that's what we use here in Finland and apparently in many other European countries as well).
I doubt we're getting it on 2008-02-07 or whatever it was said to be.
