if they do release a wii 2 before the wii is done selling, they won't want to kill the wii yet (it'll be just like with sony and the ps2: they will still be supporting it at least 2-3 years after the wii2 comes out)
so i'd imagine they aren't in a rush. it'll be many years before the wii stops selling.
