As far as specs go, the PS3 is no Neo-Geo or 3DO. To try to hype it up as such is seriously pushing it. It is a toy, just like the Wii, although it has better capabilities than the Wii, outside of the interface. As a toy, it is meant for the masses to buy.
And if people want to make it out to be a CD-I, then that is NOT a good place to be in at all.
