He has a point. A game without a storyline in this day and age shouldn't be considered anything more than a tech demo. In 1980's when technology was severely limited video games could not contain in depth storylines but now that the ability to create cinematic video games is common any game lacking quality writing and plot really does not deserve anything beyond a 5/10.
