Look guys don't fight agains't me, I'm not a PS3 hater... I'm just just pragmatic ...

For the Playstation brand... it is a commercial failure (not like the 360 is an outstanding success, but ...).

It has been expensive for Sony (both in terms of R&D and selling below actual manufacturing cost), that we already knew before the PS3 launched. But it also helped Sony with selling more Bravias and winning the format war.

I think the commercial success can only be judged at the end of this generation. According to Sony for the PS3 this should be around 2016. We may well see a cheaper PSThree in the near future, which may prove itself to become a huge success.

But if you don't have Sony stock or received a paycut from Sony, more relevant to consumers is the gaming success. With regard to this many agree the PS3 had the best games for 2008 and the line-up for 2009 looks amazing (not so much for the 360).

Naughty Dog: "At Naughty Dog, we're pretty sure we should be able to see leaps between games on the PS3 that are even bigger than they were on the PS2."
