I know the DS is a handheld, but I could see the Wii becoming somewhat like the DS is. Right now it is VERY common for parents to buy each of their kids a DS if they want one, like for example I have some cousins that are a bit younger than me, their family has 4 kids and 3 DSes (the kids are my cousin, not the parents) I do not ever see the Wii becoming like that BUT.

It is becoming very common for mom, and such to get a Wii for WiiFit and other stuff, as more software targeted towards them comes out I see them making even more use of the Wii. I think it will become a fairly common practice amoung middle to upper income families to own more than one Wii. I see it like this. The Mom will see her Wii as hers, it in her mind is her excise equipment and something to use to relax (endless ocean??) Kids on the other hand have a tendenacy to beat the crap of anything they use. So I can see that as one situation where their is a "Mom's Wii" and a "Kids Wii". The other cituation is one where a kid want his own to play in his room, right now the setup up could be more like the Wii is in the family room, and the 360 is in the son's room. But I cant see to many girls wanting a 360. Also little girls are more... what is the word "selfish". Well in the sense they like to have their "own" stuff. Basically I can see middle to upper income families with 3 or more kids possible getting more than eventually.

I think this will become widespread if the Wii ever goes under 149.99 (cheap enough that parent would be willing to buy on for a kids Bday)
