@BTFeather: He's not talking about Wii HD. We all know Wiis successor will be in HD and Nintendo is working on it. He's just talking about how technology advances. Look, Miyamoto does know how to talk something that interests the press without actually saying anything. He does that all the time.
Besides, in the article Miyamoto said that Japan changes from analog to digital, nothing about HD. Of course, i don't know if Japan skips the digital SD phase, unlike the west did. And Miyamoto doesn't imply to anything about targeting to same time. Best implication we have about the launch of Wiis successor, is Iwata saying that Wii may not have a pricecut before 2012.
Wii is capable of having similar games with PS3, only with less impressive graphical quality.
@Forevercloud: What PS3:s main selling point currently is, is its technological advancements. When the next gen arrives, PS3:s main selling point is gone with its outdated tech. So, it will die fast after next gen comes out, no matter what Sony says, since the market isn't interested in it anymore.
Why Nintendo HQ? Why not Square Enix and Disney, since it's their decision which platform they put the game.
