I'm 31 years old. My first system was the NES. It pretty much consumed my childhood. That's where I learned the definition of good video games. Back then, there were (simple) cinematics, and there was a lot of crap. Still, in those days, gameplay reigned supreme. Over the years, companies like Sega, Atari, SNK, and Nec all fell to the side, but Nintendo and it's franchises were always there. They were always innovating, and always about video games first. When Sony and Microsoft joined the fray, it seemed like these big corporate entities were invading the market just to get their cut of the industry. Video games were more of an afterthought to them, I thought. Games are Nintendo's passion.

Sony makes gadgets and movies. Microsoft makes computer programs. Nintendo is videogames. That's what my hear tells me. Sony and Microsoft make onr hell of a console. I'll be the first to admit that the Wii is my favorite system right now. That said, if there is a Wii version of Resident Evil 5, I'm buying the 360 version. My heart is with Nintendo even if they don't make the "best system" because generation after generation, they were all about the experience. Nintendo paid it's due. I'm glad that after a decade they are back on top. They EARNED my loyalty.

Thar's why I AM biased.
