Ideally it would be better if we talked about how the third person could possibly work in Metroid.

Part of the reason I'm saying this is because I have to try really hard not to argue with you about Gears, and even if we abstract that to the virtues of TPS vs. FPS, that's still getting away from what Metroid is. And I don't want to be the one to get the topic locked.
