Well, in Pong you can go from one point to another... from the top of the screen to the bottom and back. So by his definition it qualifies 
@OP: That guy is an idiot. Sure Wii Sport being the best selling doesn't make it the best game, but SMB, for all its excellence, isn't the best game either, just a really great one, and while Wii Sport's new found status does not make it a great game it happens to be one independently of it.
I have easily have had more hours of fun from Wii Sport than from some of the shorter games found today that the guy writing this article would be appalled to see compared, unfavorably at that, with Wii Sports.
