Holy moly! M&S is back to #4!

Not sure if MK drop was holiday slowdown or supply problems.

2009 begins in a similar fashion to 2008 – with FIFA on top of the All Formats Chart. ‘FIFA 09’ is not only Christmas No1, but is now the first All Formats No1 of 2009, knocking ‘Call of Duty: World at War’ off top spot for a second time, despite a 41% drop in sales.

Sales of Activision Blizzard’s shooter are down 50%, but it remains 5,000 sales ahead of EA’s ‘Need for Speed: Undercover’ which is a non-mover at No3. Activision Blizzard do have reason to be cheerful however with 3 games in the All Formats Top 10: ‘Guitar Hero: World Tour’ moving to its highest ever chart position, up from No7 to No4, and ‘Quantum of Solace’ only slipping one place to No9. The rest of the All Formats Top 10 all shuffle positions with old favourite ‘Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games’ performing well, up from No9 to No5 and ‘Wii Play’ replacing ‘Mario Kart Wii’ as Nintendo’s highest charting game this week at No6. ‘Mario Kart Wii’ slams on the breaks heavily this week as sales slide 60%, putting it one place behind Ubisoft’s ‘Far Cry 2’ at No8. Sega fill the last Top 10 position, steady at No10 with ‘Sonic Unleashed’. In fact, every game in the All Formats Top 40 drops sales except Nintendo’s ‘100 Classic Book Collection’ which breaks into the Top 40 for the first time at No27.
