It sold better this holiday than the Xbox, or the Gamecube ever sold, and it did it while costing close to $300 more on average. Sony needs to keep the price solid next year, and focus on software, and marketing. PS3 should only see a price drop when it is in Sonys best interest. Until Sony can break even by selling at $350 there is no reason for it to sell for $350. Sony has taken enough losses on this gen, and with the state of the economy, and the company, making money is much more important than trying to drag the PS3 into second place. |

2. Dropping the price will increase demand.
