Threads for honest discussion is good. The point that the OP is arguing against being discussed is a relevant point.
Threads for trolling or excessive threads on any single topic (good, bad or indifferent) is not good. I am hoping that the OP is really complaining about this -- too many tactless threads -- rather than suggesting the mods stifle legitimate conversations about console characteristics that impact sales.
