Why not? Why cant it? Sure it has a low install base. But it will change with releasing the best FF game. Your in denial, lucky to see you another one of the N fanboys.


Grammatical mistakes aside, there is two places you went wrong.

1. Thinking a remake of FF7 will sell better than the original. Even if the Triple had a much larger install base, this would never happen.

2. Claiming Ff7 is the best in the series

FF7 is the best selling in the series, and has the best story in the series. That is all and it can outsell the original. Amazing graphics will bring in casual gamers that never played it. Amazing story can bring those story drivin gamers, and seeing its FF7 will bring at the least half of the ff7 fans to the game.

But anyway, like I stated before FF7 is the trump card to making FF XIII extreemly succesful.

 

FF7 is the best selling in the series, yes. But when it comes to story, that is entirely your opinion. Some people think FF6 had a better story, some think XII did, whatever; it's all opinion when it comes to which one is the best in terms of story.

Try not to delude yourself; amazing graphics don't bring in casual gamers. If they did, the PS3 would be the top selling system due to its amazing graphical capabilities. The story will bring in story driven gamers, but then again, which FF game hasn't?

But I do agree on one point; a remake of FFVII would probably sell equal to or more than its older version. Final Fantasy is a huge franchise, and after looking at NSMB's sales, I guess there's a possibility it could sell pretty well.
