Honestly what I think this is about is they don't what to give Wii FPS like games high marks because it may mean that they will be stuck with Wii graphics. Nintendo is trying to usurp the 360 in the FPS control market. what happens if people like Valve start making Wii games and start getting more money off of the Wii? No more supre advanced AI, no more Photo- realism.
I think they are afraid that the Wii could take over everything and take over the market as well- so they have to keep it in its place. Wario Ware gets high marks because it is in line with what they think of Nintendo but now Prime has shown a different side of Nintendo and that scares them.
