However, Nintendo's success as a broadcaster is hardly guaranteed: the company has attempted to use previous generations of its consoles to deliver non-games content but every scheme has ended in failure. The company's big Christmas in-house title, Wii Music, has flopped - bringing to an end a long run of success in the current games market.

What?  And here I thought selling millions was a success.

Nope.  Wii Music was in development since before the Nintendo Wii's launch.  Nintendo pumped darn near a billion dollars into it's creation, including funding for a new Graphics/Physics engine that pushes the Wii to it's technical breaking point.  Wii Music will have to sell 14 million copies for Nintendo to break even.

And no.  14,000,000 multiplied by $50 does not equal a billion dollars.
