They aren't bothering to look those things up. Some actually think blu-ray helps graphics, when all it does is increase the ROM size.
Then again, this is nothing new. Remember when bit size on the CPU mattered?
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
