Its an obvious incremental upgrade, it will ensure that Wii motion+ becomes adopted by developers and there are some useful and nice things they can do like pre-install Wii Sports onto the system so its available all the time rather than packaging it in a DVD case with the console. What else do they really need to add/change in the system?

Exactly, it's an incremantal upgrade, nothing else, which is why I say they would add something else along with it if they ever do this. Wii wasn't just an incremental upgrade like the other system, incremantal upgrade after a certain threshold simply offer lower value to the majority of consumer at an higher cost(HD is a good example), why do a Wii+, which would cost more to make, if it doesn't increase, or barely increase, the demand for the system.
A whole new feature(like Wii Speak) which can be used for certain game(like the DSi camera) would add a lot more value to the system than some more memory or a scaler for the minority of TV owner. WM+ can be incorporated in the controller without any change in the console like Sony did with the analogue stick during the PS1 era.
Oh, and they won't ever install Wii Sport on the Wii instead of packaging it even if they ever have the memory for it. It would reduce it visibility among other thing.
People need to stop thinking the Wii need to be more like the 360 or PS3 to be more popular, it fly into the face of the fact on the front page of this site.
