@Galactic Are you kidding me? They had the two next to each other in a tourney the other day, and I seriously had to pause (for like 10 seconds), to decipher which was which xD There isn't a drastic increase in the graphics, the graphics in melee were pretty good. Oh and just because they have a character named "Sonic" doesn't mean every other character needs to be slow.... It's ridiculous!

And the combo's weren't turning it into a fighting game, it was just more about skill. There wasn't a set move list that you could scroll through, you had to play the fight as the percentages allowed, and you essentially created your own combo's on the fly. It was fantastic! In brawl, if you hit someone too far, well.. that's it, you just can't catch up with them. Melee was about the flow of the battle and it was amazing.

Melee to me was very balanced, it had it's one on one characters, and it had it's melee characters. I dunno, it just felt way more complete >< Brawl just feels like a slowed down, casualized smash brothers :/

Good.

I'd tend to agree with you, if throws we're so damned overpowered in the original. You could do nothing but throw for a whole fight if your timing was good, and some characters' reach was ridiculous.
