Definitely - it will offer a significant upgrade on the current gfx output (roughly base PC desktop res), and won't require insane levels of additional VRAM (cost).
720p will be received about the same way that 480p is received in todays 1080i/1080p environment. Yet less and less people will be able to see this "crap graphics" all the fanboyz will talking about.
